Net income surged to $28.24 billion, or $24.46 per share, compared to $1.89 billion a year ago. The most explosive growth came from the core data center business, where revenue climbed more than sevenfold to $11.5 billion, while cloud memory revenue soared over 300% to $13.77 billion, underscoring Micron's central role in the AI infrastructure ecosystem.

To capitalize on this sustained demand, Micron has secured 16 long-term strategic agreements with major customers including data center operators and automakers, locking in sales commitments for three to five years. The company expects these agreements to eventually cover roughly half or more of its total revenue, providing greater financial visibility. CFO Mark Murphy highlighted that these binding volume commitments give Micron the confidence to make large-scale capital investments, with the agreements expected to generate $22 billion in financial commitments from customers.

Micron's stock has risen approximately 700% over the past year, pushing its market capitalization beyond $1 trillion and cementing its status as a Wall Street darling. Its technology is essential for AI chips produced by industry giants such as Nvidia and Google. Beyond data centers, all four of Micron's business units recorded strong growth, including the mobile and client segment, which saw 250% revenue growth, and the automotive and embedded segment, which more than quadrupled, illustrating the broad-based nature of the AI-driven memory demand cycle.

Google has introduced a new feature called 'Select from screen' for its Gemini AI assistant integrated within the Chrome browser. Available through the 'plus' menu at the bottom of the Gemini panel, the tool allows users to highlight text or images directly from their active browser tab and instantly add them to a prompt. This streamlines the process of providing context to the AI without the need to manually copy and paste content, making interactions with Gemini faster and more intuitive.

The 'Select from screen' feature is rolling out as part of Chrome version 149. Users who have not yet seen the feature appear may need to restart their browser to activate it. The update reflects Google's broader strategy of embedding AI capabilities more deeply into its core products, enabling users to interact with Gemini contextually based on what they are currently viewing on screen, rather than requiring them to switch between applications or manually input information.

Separately, Google announced that its Gemini 3.5 Flash model has gained a built-in computer use tool, a significant capability expansion for developers. This native integration replaces the previously standalone Gemini 2.5 Computer Use model, consolidating the functionality directly into 3.5 Flash. Alongside the existing Search and Maps grounding features, the computer use tool enables developers to build custom AI agents capable of perceiving, reasoning about, and taking autonomous actions across browser, mobile, and desktop environments.

The practical applications of Gemini 3.5 Flash's computer use capability are broad, particularly for enterprise settings. Developers can leverage it for continuous software testing and complex knowledge work across professional applications, tasks that require the AI to interact with software interfaces much as a human user would. Google demonstrated the feature by having 3.5 Flash analyze the Gemini app itself and produce a categorized list of its features, illustrating the model's capacity for long-horizon, multi-step task completion.

On the safety and governance front, Google noted that enterprise customers will have specific controls available when using the computer use functionality, though full details were not disclosed in the announcement. Gemini 3.5 Flash with computer use is available immediately through the Gemini API, giving developers access to experiment with and integrate the new agentic capabilities into their own products and workflows.
